Rated Good In All AreasPlease find our latest Ofsted report attached below (not available on school app). As you will see from the report, the overall judgement was that we are providing a good standard of education for your children, and that all key aspects, namely Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Personal Development, Behaviour and Safety, and Outcomes for Pupils are good. It is very gratifying that the hard work and dedication of teachers, support staff, Governors and, of course, students is recognised in such a positive way. We are delighted that inspectors speak so positively about the progress we have made, and are continuing to make.

Inspectors have recognised much of the excellent work that takes place at the school. They are confident that our students make good progress across the curriculum, including Maths and English. The improvement in standards in Maths is picked out for particular mention, and this is typical across all subjects and for all groups of students – as they comment ‘all groups of pupils are making good progress from their different starting points, including the most able.’ Languages are highlighted for the exceptional progress that students make.

The quality of teaching is also recognised as a major strength, and something that we have worked very hard to improve to such high levels. Leadership at all levels is praised, including the leadership shown by Directors, as well as senior and middle leaders across the board. The wonderful extra-curricular opportunities that our students can access are also highlighted in the report.

We are delighted and proud that our students’ conduct is described as ‘exemplary’, and that they are confident learners. We are also very pleased that the work that our team does to promote personal development and students’ safety is praised so highly, and that the work we do with vulnerable students and those with special educational needs is highlighted. I would also like to thank all the parents who completed surveys for the Inspectors, which were overwhelmingly positive and supportive.

Inspectors have recognised much of the excellent work that takes place at the college, and praise the ‘culture of ambition’ in the 6th Form. They are confident that our students make good progress across the curriculum. Students are given excellent support and advice to plan their next steps after College, and all go on to suitable destinations. They continue to develop English and Maths skills well and benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum.
The quality of teaching is also recognised as a strength, which prepares students well for exams. Leadership at all levels is praised, including the leadership shown by Directors, as well as senior and middle leaders across the board. The wonderful extra-curricular opportunities that our students can access are also highlighted in the report.

We are delighted and proud that our students’ conduct is praised so highly, and that they are mature and conscientious learners. We are also very pleased that the work that our team does to promote personal development and students’ safety is praised so highly, and that the work done by our pastoral teams is highlighted. I would also like to thank all the parents who completed surveys for the Inspectors, which were overwhelmingly positive and supportive.

I would like to reassure parents that we will use this report as a springboard to continue our improvement – we have the highest aspirations for the students of Alderman White and Bramcote College, and we will build on this success in the coming months and years.
