Alderman White Stay at Home School

A messsage from our staff.
Our German partner school has sent us a video message.

From Monday 23rd March until further notice, the school site will be closed at the direction of the government, as a key part of the social distancing strategy to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Please DO NOT arrive at the site unless by prior arrangement as you will not be allowed on site. If you need to make contact with school, email the school office on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will reply by email or phonecall.

This is a massive adjustment for us all to make very suddenly. We will now operate our Stay at Home School model until we are asked to reopen our site by the government. At the minute, there is no indication of the timescale for this, although the cancellation of exams implies that it is likely to extend into the summer term.

Mrs A Mellors

We have to build a new model and ways of operating very quickly. Many of our previous structures and requirements are no longer in place.
The Chinese word for "crisis" (危機) is composed of two Chinese characters signifying "danger" and "opportunity" respectively.
