Attendance
At Alderman White School, we believe that good attendance and punctuality are essential to students’ learning, wellbeing and future success. We have high expectations for attendance and aim for all students to achieve at least 96% attendance across the school year.

If you need to report an absence, discuss attendance concerns or have a general attendance query, please contact Danielle either by Telephone or through the My Child at School app
If you have any concerns about your child's attendance, please contact us as early as possible. We are here to work with you and support your child to attend school regularly and achieve their full potential.
Punctuality
We ask parents and carers to ensure that their child:
- Attends school every day unless they are genuinely too unwell to attend.
- Arrives on site by 8.50am, ready to learn.
- Makes appointments outside of school hours wherever possible.
Late Arrival
Students arriving late after 8.50 must report to Reception to sign in. They will receive a late mark and may receive a Reflection at the end of the school day.
Is My Child Too Ill for School?

If your child has an ongoing medical condition or you are unsure about whether they are well enough to attend school, please contact us for support and advice.
Leave of Absence During Term Time
Leave of Absence during term time will only be authorised in exceptional circumstances.
