Music Tuition

At Alderman White School, we are pleased to partner with Inspire to offer tuition in a wide range of instruments including strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, guitar, piano and vocals.

Lessons take place during the school day and are suitable for complete beginners and those with prior experience. We offer either shared lessons, where a student is paired with someone of similar ability or individual sessions; these are 20 minutes in length and students are supported with how to continue their practice at home and work towards gradings if they wish to do so.

The proposed timetable for bookings and lesson delivery is outlined below:

  • September to December – Lessons delivered
  • June – Bookings and payments for the Autumn Term
  • July – School confirms requirements with Inspire once payment has been received
  • January to March – Lessons delivered
  • November – Bookings and payments for the Spring Term
  • December – School confirms requirements with Inspire once payment has been received
  • February – Bookings and payments for the Summer Term
  • March – School confirms requirements with Inspire once payment has been received
  • April to July – Lessons delivered

This cycle will then repeat for each academic year.

Payments must be made through MCAS and will appear under "Clubs" section on MCAS prior to each term starting.

Failure to make payment will result in applications being withdrawn. We will make every effort to contact parents/carers regarding late or missed payments. If you anticipate any difficulties meeting payment deadlines, please contact us as soon as possible.

Quality Assurance
Maintaining a high-quality music tuition service is important to us. During the year, students and parents/carers may be invited to complete a short feedback questionnaire about their experience of Inspire Music lessons.
