School Meals and Catering

The White Hills Park Trust have recently commenced a new catering contract with Aspens, a leading specialist school catering service.  We are very excited about this collaboration, which will help us to deliver a quality service for our students and staff while working towards our long-term commitments of reducing plastic usage and healthy eating.

As part of the transition and our commintments above, please note the following:

  • Crisps will no longer be available at any service time. (If necessary, please ensure that your child is aware of this so that there are surprises.)
  • Some fizzy drink options will no longer be stocked. Instead, a range of healthier flavoured waters will be available.
  • Cash will no longer be able to be accepted over the till. Please make food payments where possible online. If cash is necessary - this will need to be paid onto the biometric machine in the hall prior to any purchases.
  • There will be a range of new options for students to choose from, along with old favourites such as pasta pots and jacket potatoes.
  • If your child has a food allergy, please read the diets information below and complete the form attached at the end of this page.

Water Coolers

In addition to the drink offered for sale, we also have water coolers in school for students to stay hydrated free of charge. Short refillable water bottles fit perfectly, however taller water bottles do not fit into the machines and may cause damage through any spillages. School water bottles can be purchased from reception at a cost of £1.50 if necessary.

Dietary Requirements and Allergies

Please see the information below from the catering team regarding special dietary provision:

The company firmly believes in providing high quality food for your child to enjoy that is safe to eat. Special diets are an integral part of our catering provision, whether as a result of an ethical or religious belief or a food intolerance or allergy.

We accept our duty to comply with the Food Information Regulation 2014 which states that allergen information must be provided for all food prepared and sold, and as such we areable to provide a meal for your child if they have a special dietary requirement. However, in order for us to do this we require you to complete and return the special diets form to the school as soon as possible.

If your child has a food allergy resulting in a severe reaction/anaphylactic shock we will bein contact to discuss a suitable menu. If this allergy is to one of the known 14 allergens (celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, egg, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide, tree nuts) then your child can be fed from our allergy free menu until we have agreed a suitable menu with you.

If your child has multiple allergies or is allergic to other foods, such as tomatoes. we request that you provide a packed lunch for them until we have met with you to agree a suitable menu.

For those children with intolerance and lifestyle choices, please follow your schools ordering system to select a suitable meal from the daily menu. If you have any further questions or require assistance please contact us, via the school, where we will be happy to help.

Menus and Prices

The current menu and a price list are attached below.  The menu runs on a three week rotation (dates are displayed at the bottom of the pages).

Please note: Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd September 2022 will be the Week 3 menu, and the first full week of school commencing 5th September will be Week 1.
